I have those molded black OEM Mud flaps on my truck and one screw in each of the four are rusting. I recall when I did the flaps they I had to do some drilling. Now I cant remember where I drilled but am freaked if I dont replace the bolts it may start spreding i it was the spot.

Should I replace these to stainless?:ugh

Had a problem with mud flaps on my old S10 I took the screws out and cleaned up the holds put some Rust-Oleum paint in them and got a couple of the factory screws they use for the wheel well. Seemed to stop the rust.

You should have had a couple screws in each hardware pack that had a rubber looking coating on the threads. Those are the screws that are used in the holes that need to be drilled. The coating is to seal the holes you drilled when the screw is installed
