i am considering getting a programmer/chip for my truck and is just wondering about the octane, b/c all of the higher tuning requires 91 octance, so i was wondering if octance booster could be used with lower octance gas or if it would be cheaper to buy 91 octane. just wondering if anyone has thought of this or tired it.

im running the diablo on the 87 tune and notice a big diff.winter mix always sux though.the truck also loves the cold weather.

Just buy the higher octane, Geez, what is it 10 cent a Gal more!!???

if 87 gas is 1.50/gal and you get 20 gallons =30.00 +

5-6 dollars for octane booster= 36.00 (5-6 dollars for a 20oz bottle)

if 93 gas is 1.80 gallon and you get 20 gallons = 36.00

Isnt Octant Boost only for off road vehicle because it will kill the cat. convertor?
