Shifts fine, but latly the O/D is not as quiet when I deaccelerate or as smooth.

Is the O/D sticking? Is something going like a clutch?

Thanks for any advice.

funny, that was exactly what happened to my 99 1500 when I found the pinion and carrier bearings in the rear end wiped out.....took about 5k miles after the deceleration noise appeared to totally kill the bearings. Could be driveshaft universals also, but honestly there are so many variables (including the trans or transfer case). folks with more experience than I will surely give some advanced advice. :teacher:

Thanks for your reply,

My Driveshaft does make a squeeking noise moving forward 0-5mph then goes away, also a louder squeeking-rubbing noise in reverse.

You think that this is related, to the humming noise?

I have a newly rebuilt trans and have a humming in reverse so I don't think thats it.
