I have 01 2500 diesel. When I start the engine at any time of year seems to start fine. However when I put into drive and step on accelerator the truck will not develop power sufficient to go past about 20 km per hour. After about five minutes of driving at this speed all of a sudden the engine goes to full power and I can drive normally thereafter. Same thing every morning. Recently had new transfer pump installed( same as original, outside tank)
No change noticed. Fuel filter changed as well. Any ideas on what this could be? Anybody?

check fuel pressure and maybe clean iac and map sensors

Not sure what the iac or the map sensors are? Could you clarify?

no power cold engine.

I will try cleaning sensors today and will let you know what happens. First real advice anybody has given me so far. Very frustrating problem. Hoping this will help. Thanks again for the advice.
