I have replaced the fuel pump last year and it’s a project truck so not a lot of use on it. I have opened my fuel line before the fuel filter and no pressure when I crack the engine.
Things I’ve checked:
ASR. Tested good.
Voltage is getting to the plug when I turn the key. But when I crack the engine, the voltage jumps everywhere. Is that normal.
Codes:
12
33
35(Haynes manual says I need to check the “idle contact switch“) but what I see on the internet it’s a fan relay?
Code 35 is a new one for me. I’m thinking it could be causing the issue but not sure. I want to test the pump by putting 12v to it from the battery. Is this a good idea?

I did some testing and found my fuel pump was not working. Dropped the tank and replaced it. Started up just fine. Hopefully this one lasts as long at the original one did.
