I have a 2005 Ram 3500 I bought used a few years back. There are no tow hooks on the front end which is a concern to me as I am sometimes in areas where I can easily get stuck. I am looking for opinions on a few ideas I came up with.

1. An aftermarket set of hooks that can be easily added that can be accessed either under the front bumper or that stick out thru the slot of the front bumper.

2. A front end tow bar with a hook instead of a ball on the receiver. (Advantage to this is I can remove it and put in a hitch platform to stand on if I need to service the motor.)

3. Adding a winch bumper that has tow hooks that will allow me to add a winch at a later time.

Thoughts? Other ideas? Thanks for all the input and if you have any questions, please let me know.

You could also pick up OEM tow hooks from a junk yard or on eBay.

Out of the 3 options you gave, I would do the front end tow bar personally.
