I'm in need of a newer truck had a mint condition 99 quad cab I got t-boned and totaled.
I don't want to buy brand new maybe something in the mid teens, are there certain years I should avoid due to mechanical issues or body rot?

Get at least a 2013 when the hemi got the ZF 8sp.

have anything specific in mind OP? if you want to avoid something with troublesome issues, you can browse some recalls by using the national highway traffic safety admin site and look at the recalls for what you have in mind. that can give you a general idea on what to avoid or to expect if you get that particular truck.
