Does seem pretty high for a locked motor and bald tires. Heck I got 900 for my 76 blazer with a strong motor/tranny, new 6" lift and 39.5" tires (if that comparison helps)

I would try to get for less than $1000. Look for rust in the door panels, under the carpet. Ask how the motor got locked up. If it went swimming, think on changing starter, alt, trans fluid, axle fluid, rebuilding brakes., flushing gas tank. Or better yet, just ask "one short of". LOL Could make a nice ride if not too damage. Question is, how much you willing to put into it?
