i have a 2005 1500 singal cab with auto. trans with the factory gears and i waas thinking about upgradeing me gears but i need to know what to upgrade them to???

do you have the 20 inch rims? 17's? if you have the 20's from the factory you probably have 3:92's in 17's from factory.. you most likely have 3:55's. you would probably be able to jump to 4:10's for a lil more pull out of the hole. correct me if im wrong but i belive the 1500 offroad group ram has 4:10's im not sure im gonna look into it.. so i'll let ya know.. changing gears is fairly easy.. well it was in the WS6 firebird i just did at work.. DAn

Yes on the 2G Rams, but I'm pretty sure only 4.10s on the 2500 3G Rams. For the 3G 1500s, same 3.92s on the off-road package as with the 20" wheels ...

I'm sure some will disagree with me, but I see no need to change with that setup ... only if you put bigger tires.
