I have a Dodge D300 V8 with a 318. I have installed a new fuel pump. Primed it. New fuel lines. It still won’t “suck” fuel. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for your replies

Could be a bad pump , is the filter clean ? has the screen in the tank ever been addressed ?

New fuel filter. I put the fuel line in a gas can so no tank issues. It is a new pump but I guess it could be bad.

Lots of bad brand new parts lately, it really is a pain. Is the eccentric still properly attached to the cam?

So I am restoring a 1976 Dodge D300. 318 V8. Engine runs great if I pour a little fuel into the carb. I hope it isnt a cam issue
