Ok, so about 2 months ago I purchased a dynomax vt muffler for the truck. It sounded good ( not great ) for about a week, Did whats it was bought for....low drone in the cab , but loud when you get on it. Anyway after a week, the valve inside started rattling badly during start up and idle. Dynomax said that the hemi is probably to big of a motor for this muffler, so I sent it back for a refund.

I purchased a hooker aero chamber muffler and put it on the truck. I love the sound, very deep tone at start up and idle, and sounds good when driving didnt have any drone either, but I only drove it a couple miles so far. I will know better how it performs after the 50 mile round trip back and forth from work, which is a 50/50 mix hwy and street.

So, long story short, I wouldnt recommend the dynomax vt, but their customer service was very good

the spring valve had some material on the lower edge, that seemed to be stopping the metal/metal contact. But that burned off.
