I just brought home my 06 D with VES. I have read the manual and I know I am missing the headphones and remote which the dealer is going to take care of after I called and complained but here is my real problem. When I put a DVD in, I get video and no sound. The mode on the head unit will not go to VES nor can I get the VES unit to change modes at all. It's like the VES and head unit are not connected or talking to each other. Does this sound like a dealer issue or am I a stupid newbie and missing something completely easy??? Thank for you help.

Ypu should be able to change to dvd mode on your headunit by pressing the mode button. If not, then i would assume there is a wiring/unit issue.
