Hey guys, I'm in the middle of my trans-go install, all is going smooth except the "plug". I got all the new springs, wires, clips and the valve in, but the plug that is provided doesnt wanna go back in.

Is it supposed to be a super tight fit, it feels like I'd have to force it in, and its aluminum and I dont want to do that. The old one goes in just fine, but the new one doesnt seem to fit. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm assuming it goes in the same hole the valve came out of, can someone verify this?

I haven't done this kit, but I put a TransGo kit in an Impala SS. I can tell you they have great tech support. It's probably too late tonight, but give them a call. When I put the kit in my SS I had a problem. The guy even called me back the next day (Saturday) to make sure I had not had trouble with what he told me on Friday when I first called. I can't remember his name, but give them a call.

I tried calling a while ago and got no answer, musta been past their bed time.
I'll call again in the morning if I dont get it figured out...hopefully it doesnt come to that.

i hadthe same problem thenew plug was vey tight and i was going to bang it in. well i called wayne from APS and he said dodge made to plugs and if the one in the kit don't fit just use the original as you will do damage if you force it. thats what i did new low/ reverse switch with the stock plug. hope this helps tom

Thats pretty frustraging, I wonder how many other people had this problem...
I've got two kits sitting here, different kinds from Trans-go, but for the same tranny, and the plug from neither of the kits fits....you'd think they could say something about that in the instructions..that would have saved me tons of time.

nope do you remember the hail damage that i got while i was there? well im getting it fixed and adding a few new goodies while its in the body shop.

Mine didn't fit either. Just used the stock one. All is well. Don't think there is a difference between the 2. Besides the size of course. Let me know if there is though.
