got a friend with an 07 3/4 ton diesel, this morning he cranked his truck and let it idle for a coupla minutes. he then put it in drive and started to go to work when he started hearing a clunking sound. thought it was suspension related so reversed back to where he was. put the truck in park and still clunkclunkclunckclunk with sparks flying from somewhere. shut the truck off and found oil leaking from the top of the filter .
