[Crazy4.7]

My truck has been acting up for a long time now, and I can't figure out what the problem is. When I first start it after it has set for a while, if I don't let it warm up for several minutes, after I take off it will begin to surge and sometimes die. Other times it will surge, and then go back to normal or almost higher idle and feel really peppy. Then, sometimes it will surge, and go back to a normal or kinda low idle and feel real sluggish. After it does either one of these things, I can restart it and it will run just fine. I tried a new TPS sensor, but it really made things strange. I don't know if the parts store gave me the wrong one or what, but after I had installed it my truck shifted at 4500 RPMs @ WOT. :help:

Search for 4.7 surge or surging. There are more people with your problem, they may have some insight to help you.
