Putting my van back together, got a couple of questions. Can someone tell me what this plate is, and where it goes? I don't remember where it was. It's been a couple of months since I took it off, when taking everything apart to replace the intake manifold gasket.

I started a couple of months ago. Had bad fracture that interfered with getting it done. All better now.

It's metal. No idea where I took it off from. I started this just before Thanksgiving, then got injured and couldn't finish it right away. Meanwhile I forgot where everything went.

I finished with it today, everything seems ok, I still have this piece left over.

Thanks Vern14, I did look up the part number, before I asked about it. All I found aside from places to buy another one, us this diagram.

Unfortunately, I can't tell where it goes. I looked where the line points, and can't see where it goes.

I'm hoping someone will take a pic of one in place, and post so I can see where to put it.

If you have a part number you can Google it.
If you don't have a part number you can go to a site like. mymoparparts.com and look at a diagram of the general location of the part and what it connects to.
Example of diagram above. - and part number and name will be listed.

Or ...watch some YouTube videos of the area of the car you took it from ....most likely you will see it disassembled during the video....
I did all that. Watched several videos. Never saw it. Thanks anyway.

Thanks, I usually do, especially with weird little things like this plate. It wouldn't have been this confusing, if I hadn't had to stop working on it for so long. Breaking my hand wasn't part of the plan.
You wouldn't happen to know the name of that part, would you? If there is one. The diagram I found didn't, really. Just "bracket, engine wiring", which, if you search, brings up all kinds of other bits, but not this one.
