[Crossfire]

This was the first day that I have driven the D on the roads that weren't snowy or slushy wet, so on an open section of road, I let it rip. Wow, was I impressed at the acceleration!
Just as I pulled up to a stop light, a little ricer pulls up next to me and is revving up his engine. You know, the fart can going "borritt, borritt, borritt" and I was thinking what someone else had said, "Maybe he has to do that to keep it running." I look over at this guy and he mouths out, "Hemi ha- ha!". I do think that my hemi over heard his remark, because when the light turned green, away we went, it was great just pulling away from the little annoying ricer. :tup:The acceleration of this truck is quite impressive considering it's overall weight. HEMI's rule!!!!!!:cheerl:

So my maiden voyge on dry roads was great!

Right on!!! Roads are almost dry here, but as the temp is suppose to rise significantly they'll be wet from the melting snow.

I can't stand the fart can sound! One guy earlier this week in an older compact Acura tried to scoot around my E-250 work van (with the measly 225hp 4.6L V8) as he forgot to notice that his lane ends right after you go through the intersection and that the lane he was in, is meant for right turn only. Once the light changed he put the pedal down only to stall the car once he was in the intersection - he didn't look like a young guy either. It looked good on him at least. I don't understand why people can't follow through with their mistakes that can cost someone their life.

I know how that feels! I have driven in a couple Chargers, 300C and a Daytona Charger....as per my time slips I'm even with them now!:rck:

I also hate fart cans....sometimes I wonder what they think.

HAHA!! NICEE!!! Very proud!! lol i actually got my friends GTI with a turboback exhuast. Look on his face after was PRICELESS!! We wanna do a rerun later, because it still hasnnt sunk in to us that he lost lol. Ive been sick all last week with the flu, and yesterday was the first time i got to really drive it and take it out on the highway. As soon as i got on, i got right on it and before i knew it was doing 95mph, surprised the hell outta me!! D did a great job of reminding me what ive been missing! For a truck this big, 0-60 in 8seconds isnt too bad. I chirped the tires for both runs too. Pretty impressed so far..

P.S. Whats FTW mean? i see a lot of people saying it here and there lol

You have NOOO idea!! :rck::rck: I took out a used charger r/t once, the guy let me take it by myself, big mistake . I took that car almost to its limits!! Drifting here, burnouts there, straight line speed down there, and then back. Thankfully the guy was pretty cool, he noticed the tires smoking in the back and said to me, "Had a great time didnt ya "


I dont mean to hijack the thread, but another time i took my friend to test drive another one, turns out the "Performance Specialist" from the dealership was chosen to take us out for a ride, despite having a customer on the way for a big sale. Needless to say, he was pretty pissed off at his manager, and decided to take out his anger on our test car.... :rck::SPIN::drivingz: "explaining" to us about what the car can do, and then demonstrating. Lets just say i felt like i was in racing school

hell I have outrun several little ricers in my stock 4.7L from time to time.... occasionally if they were going close to my destination they would stop and ask "got a hemi?" I would just reply "nope, you got beat by a plain suv"... usually they get mad and scoot their oversized lawnmower back to the roads...

Just 3 nights ago i was driving down the highway when this mitsubishi 3000gt, i think it was the vr4 (twin turbo) was messing around on the highway. I sped up to try and get close and check it out and he took off on me when i was still 2 car lengths behind him. So i punched it. I was doin great at keepin up and he wasnt really pulling away from me, we basically held the same distance.....up untill i hit the speed limiter:cuss: o well. it was fun while it lasted

*bump* heh.. I lined up against a first gen Neon at a light tonight right across the intersection the speed limit jumped to 100km/h... I lost to 120km/h, by about a car length.... normally I'd be upset but considering I had traction issues, spun all 4 tires off the line but that could be due to having my car hauler with the wife's second gen neon on it with a bunch tools.. I figure I had an extra 5500lbs over stock wieght of my D heh
