Well this morning my amp quite working on the way to school. I checked both fuses(one on amp and one on power wire)and the one on the amp was so i put a new one in. It smelled pretty bad in my truck to. As soon as i put the new fuse in my amp started to smoke. My subs werent working. I got home and i checked everything out and my seat bolt where my ground is came a little loose so i tightened it up and it did nothing. The only thing my amp does now is the power light on it blinks. When the amp worked the light stayed on, and now it blinks. I have a kenwood 745 4 channel amp pushing 2 jl 10's.

does anyone know whats wrong? How much would it cost to get fixed and checked out?

thx

Power Supply is toast............and as you lost a ground it may not be covered by a warranty (hint: dont tell Kenwood you lost the ground)

Send it in to Kenwood to be fixed or buy a new better amp like a Diamond D6 600.4
