Well, I ordered an Edelbrock Pro-Flo, now I'm moving on to the exhaust. I currently have a dual outlet flowmaster (guessing a 50 series) with no tailpipes and a big rip in the pipe where the hanger is. It sounds like junk with the hole and I'm holding the muffler up with baling wire so it won't fall completely off. Anyway, I'm assuming the cats bad anyway and I want the truck a little louder, but no rasp. My plan:
Magnaflow y-pipe and high flow cat
3" in/out magnaflow muffler (?)
bend in front of rear tire
My question is, what magnaflow to get?
What is the difference in sound between round and oval, and different diameters and lengths?
I'm thinking a 6" round 14-18" long. My thinking is that the more packing material (bigger diameter/ oval) the less resonance, and the longer the quieter. I'm probably thinking way too much about this, I just want it to sound good. :help:
