OK, the stock muffler is stinkin' huge. Mine is sorta rusted but not really bad but then the dang truck is super quiet. If I replace it does the resonator need to stay? Was thinking of cutting the muffler out, add a glasspack or decent muffler (cheap!) and then cut the resonator out and replace with a straight pipe.

OK, so the resonator stays. Any suggestions for a decent cheap muffler?

Get an AEROTURBINE 3030
Nice and small compared to the OEM

About $160 if that is in your price range

I think he wants a cheaper one than that. But i got the At3030 because I was convinced that uncbob had a good muffler.

why not just remove the muffler and straight pipe it and leave the resinator on. and use that as your muffler?
That's what I did.
It was cheap and easy.

How's the straight pipe sound?

And the other one is too rich for my blood right now.
