Are any of you using MTX Thunderform with the preloaded 10" subs in it from MTX (4500 series subs middle of the road) and if so what amp are you using, and waht do you think of them??
I am so close to a purchase but have not heard them in anyones ride.
I am trying to do sub, enclosure , and amp for under 400.00
I know that aint a whole lot of cabbage, but things are a little tight right now...

ive had one for about a year and love it. its clean and tight. not something youre goingto hear three blocks away. i have a jl audio 250/1 running it.

Do you know if it will run with the factory Infinity deck.

You could run it with the factory deck, just have to pig tail off of it to an amp...

i have the enclosure, and really like it. Im using M-class 10's in it, and i think they sounds great even with an airleak in both.

What is it that you are looking to see? I have a joefox, 04Quadcab8 has the MTX, either one will do you great, the joefox is vented & has a bit more space. Also fits a bigger magnet.

edit, the MTX box I'm talking about has upgraded subs in it, not the cheap ones that usually come with it.

I had the MTX box in my Dakota. Ran it with a memphis 500x1 class d amp. Mine was purchased in 2001, so it had whatever the model of sub was back then, don't remember the model #. Worked really well, decent sound. The box was contructed pretty well. Priced a little high for the plastic box and so-so quality subs, but still did the trick nicely.

You could also wait a week and get the new single 10" vented box for the passenger side. It is $125 and you would save $20 going to a 10 so that would put you at $400

I was on Ebay earlier and someone has a amplified Thunderform and the starting bid is $200. The listing says pickup only but I would try contacting the seller to see if you could arrange for shipping. Offer $25 for shipping and a extra $25 to have him bring it to a shipping center and get it boxed up. Thats what most people are scared of, its packing somthing that large for shipping. I would say if you can pick it up for $250 total its a good deal.

I have the plane jane thunderform and wish I built a custom box...just haven't bitten off enough time to glass up the back of the truck.

the thunderform for me is inadequate. Someday would love to upgrade. The sub in my Jeep which is now almost 8 years old blows the thunderform away.

i have the thunderform with the mtx thunder 6000's (last years), it works fine for me , i have a kenwood 500 x 1 rms amp running to it and no complaints.

Just recently purchased the thunderform with 2 tens enclosure i love it i went from a yukon with 2 15inch hx2s and i am very pleased with the sound i get out of the mtx subs and enclosure

OK this is what I ended up with after countless hours of research(TOO much for the brain to retain)
1 JoeFoxBox 2-Ported 10"s
2 10" Alpine Type R DVC
1 Eclipse 33230 2 channel amp
Hope it sounds good..........................

Amp and subs should be here wednesday, and not sure when the box will ship from JoeFox, I am hoping that this will be this weekends Mod.

Yeah I woldnt go MTX at retail. I got my loaded MTX for just under 200. THis was before I even heard of joe fox. I switched out my MTX woofers for some powerbass speakers. COmbo seems good because it hits harder than the MTX. all my plastic in the truck vibrates.. im still trying to do dynamat

I have a radioshack 10 gauge amp wiring kit for $20 if you want it.
