Ok I'm new to this site and would like to see some pics of dakotas that have been lifted and running larger tires. Also who has the most lifted dakota running the largest tire here. For myself I just wanna do a 3" bl on my truck but cant find anybody willing to help me do it. If anybody knows of someone or some shop in upstate ny that can install a bl let me know thanks.

I have seen Daks and Durangos with tires up to 35" and beyond.

However, unless you want to swap out the IFS axle and install a solid axle (complex/expensive) the practical limit is 33" tires due to IFS axle strength. The stock 7.625" IFS axle is really limited byt he strength of the aluminum pumpkin. I have seen several break when used with 35" tires.

33" tires can be fit by doing a TS lift and minor trimming, or you can use a 3" body lift without trimming. You can even combine the 3" body lift with TS lift for plenty of clearance for 33's.

If you are interested in offroading, a TS lift & trimming is probably the best option since you increase ground clearance. Body lifts do little for offroading ability beyond making room for bigger tires. They do not raise the undercarraige up and away from obstacles on the trails.
you might find a few here, though on DakotaUSA.com or Dakota-Durango.com might have waht your looking for.
I had 6.5" suspension and 3" body lift on 35's... could run bigger, but ran what I did for better clearance.

The first two pictures are with 3" rancho lift and 32" tires. The third picture is with new 33" tires. The last picture is with a 3" body lift added.

Again not a dakota.

Details on the durango? What lift/wheel/tire setup?
Well its a 6 or 7" lift I made myslf. 2wd custom designed and fabbed upper and lower a-arms, Race Runner 2.5" 8"stroke coilovers w/ remote reservoirs. I ran 16x8 procomp crhome beadlock imitations with a Ram 5 x 5.5" bolt pattern. I did this because my year had 4 wheel discs and the 12.5" rotors need 16's I wwanted these wheels but they didn't make them in the 16" and our lame 6 on 4.5" pattern. So I researched and found 01 1500 ram 2wd hubs fit on the same unit bearing spindle I have. Then I bought 06 dakota 9.25" rea axle shafts. Knowing the rear track width was the sam between generations I gambled and thought I know the spline was 31 and that the shafts were asym length. I then made sure the lug flange fit indide the drum e-brake diamter in the inside the rear disc rotors. Still the wheel width drum brake use on the new gen and tire choice could vary and still give the same track width. So I just pulled the old shafts and crossed all my fingers- and wallah! They worked! And at $60 each they are way cheaper then custom spicer axles or whatever. The rear rotors were the hard part, so i just redrilled the a new set of durango rotors with one hole overlap. Then I used 02 F150 4x4 slotted rotors with a small hole enlargement=cheap slots. :D Tires are 285 75 R16 ProComp xterrians 2 ply side wall. Rear end is all new but housing and calipers.
Dur 4x4 leafs, beltech 6403 3 drop chevy shackles=total 4" rear lift. I put in new bearings, seals, axles, 4.10 gears, used traclock diff housing with a new clutch pack I installed, an syn gear lube & LS additive. Whee that's about it. I also made a removable engine brace. I used stock sindled drilled for 1" uniball bearing on the arm ends. Is that what you needed? Any more ????'s

I want one just like it! :D But in a Durango! Ok, maybe not because my wife would need a ladder to get in it and I'd never hear the end of it... but still!!!
