It should, your only issue I imagine would be emissions...but don't quote me on that.

i don't know if the transmissions are the same type in the different years as far as computer controlled. maybe somebody else can help.

Negative Ghost Rider 98 has obd2 unless the 96 PCM has obd2 might be wrong ..

The 96 was obd2 the problem is there was alot of changes made with sensors and the wiring from 96 to 98. I highly doubt it would work. 96 and 97 were very odd ball years with alot of changes made. A good example would be that I have to have a tps from a 98 and an o2 sensor from a 96 for my 97.

I agree with above. Transmission, though, should both be 46RE and both OBD2.
