The MDS on Magnum stopped working the other day. I checked and saw oil was a little low so I added 1 qt 5w20 oil and looked ok but MDS wouldn't work. I thought maybe it was overfilled so I had oil changed at shop and still not working. Mileage also dropped 3-4 mpg. I was getting 24-26 hwy 16-18 city, now hwy is only 20-21 and city 14-16.

I have led light installed to determine MDS function. Any ideas? :huh:

Have you tried the MDS reset procedure that is outlined somewhere on this forum or maybe the "LX forum"? I think mine quit working too but have not tried the procedure as of yet.

Yes I tried it (but I didn't disconnect the battery) it then works again for a short time period. But it isn't back to working like it was before. It doesn't want to engage unless it is coasting and only sometimes. Before I could cruise at 80 and it would engage, now it won't engage unless there is no load at all, as in coasting. Not sure what to do. I was wondering it that would be covered in the extended drivetrain warranty (75K).
