I have been having an intermittent error from the navigation system in my 2006 Magnum. "ERROR READING DVD-ROM PLEASE CHECK DISC" I brought it in for service, and they ordered a new radio for me.
The problem is the part number on the radio they got is the old number that ends in "AL" not the newer one with the stronger revised joystick that ends in "AM" The parts guy looked in the computer for the "AM" number, but seemed confused, and said He would call on Monday to find out what is up.
Also, they said the radio is a reconditioned unit, and possibly has all the upgrades. ?????
Does anyone know if it is standard practice to use reconditioned radios, are these things reliable????? and if the "AM" part number is available????? My car was built in December of 2005 so I think it should have come from the factory with the "AM" part number?????
Thanks to All!
