ever heard of lowering a RAM this way ?

when I talked to a local shop about it, they said they had Eibach lowering springs in the front, but flipped the leaf springs in the back .....

I thought the rear was lowered with shackles and hangers ....

any thoughts on this ?

I lowered my 99 with springs in the front and shackles in the rear. I've never heard of flipping the leafs on the rear. I can't imagine that there would be much room between the axle and the frame. Mine has only a few inches of clearance.

...flip the springs to under the axle? Maybe thats what they meant. But maybe not I guess. Never heard of flipping the leafs.

Shackles and Hangers are a good way to go. I went with the Bell Tech 2'' lowering shackles in the rear to level out my truck. It looks and rides a lot better.
