I want to get a 2/4 lowering kit this summer, probably eibach springs, hangers and shackles, along with belltech spindles. Is it necessary to get shocks? I recently got new monroe shocks and I'm not sure if they will compress completely and have no affect on the ride or will they work fine? Any help on this would be appreciated!
If all you are using up front is spindles, then your front shocks should be OK. Rears will need to be changed to ensure you get full shock travel without breaking parts.
when i installed my drop i removed the entire bump stop tower and made the spring pocket all level and this helped me out when i bagged it because i had less cutting to do.
i kno on older models the bump stop and that round piece around it can just be unbolted but on my truck it's all one piece so i may have to get in there with the torch and cut it all off and make my own bump stop for now
