Hey guys needin some help her. I got 95 Ram 1500 5.9 4x4.
It has always idled low, but has gotten worse recently.
It idles in park and neutral at around 500. But when dropped into
gear it will go down to around 200 to 250. Even wierder is when
I pull up on a hill and let off the throttle the RPMs will drop to
almost 0 then jump back up. No problems at normal speeds cruises
and shifts perfect. Already replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor, IAC,
and TPS. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys in advance!

Battery tested good and i replaced all the vacuum lines because they were brittle and snapping when i changed the cap and rotor.

Plugged idle air passages?....Maybe clean throttle body; IDK, but Seafoam spray stuff might be an easy thing to try.
.... "SEEMINGLY" good batteries have plagued others.

the egr is supposed to open up in high vac conditions. namely when the truck is at idle. an open egr will also raise the idle? hum. check and diagnose the egr valve!

engine off: find the vac control valve. put a suction pump on it and measure for loose of pressure.
engine on: hook up pump to vac control valve. nipple off the manifold leads. initiate about 18" and listen for the idle to change speed. if the engine doesnt increase rpm, than the egr valve is bad/ leaking or the exhaust recirculator pipe is clogged.
the egr is located to left of the dizzy mounted on the intake manifold .
