I have heard that the spoiler on the Rams and 08 Dakota tailgate are for better gas milage . Anyone know ? :IDEA:

Yes, they do have a tailgate spoiler. Here is a link to the new Dakota where they mention it. It has some good info about the changes to the 08.

Go on youtube and search 2008 Dakota. There are several there.

It looks like it helps protect the top of the tailgate also when carrying long items and have them perched on top of the gate.
