Level Kit = Blind The Car in front of you!

1567 Views 19 Replies 15 Participants Last post by  tyler711
I really haven't had the chance to drive at night much. But the last few days I have, and I noticed since I did the level kit on my truck, my head lights are just at head level for the car in front of me. Bright lights fade the interior!!

SO I guess I should adjust my headlights. Anyone do this with the top gun level kit? I just wanted to know maybe how many turns to adjust the lights.

Didnt install a leveling kit, just tightened my bars. Had to do the same with the headlights. Makes people really mad! They also hate when I turn on my Hellas behind the grill! Sorry cant help ya on how many turns. Park your truck up against a garage door to adjust them makes it really easy.

What Sprocket said. Just find a wall or something at night and lower them both the same. I think one is a little higher than the other.
noob question, how do you lower your headlight beams?
There is an adjustable bracket attached to the headlights. Pop the hood and there is one screw to tighten thats it. tighten it, the headlights will rise, loosen it and the headlights will angle down
Where is the screw at again?
Thanks, now i too can stop blinding the car in front of me.
People hate me after my 5" lift and 37" it's been a couple months and my headlights still shine into people in front of me :D
i know my wife will appreciate this, especially when i have to follow her home :)
what do you guys think is the best level kit for a 2004 QC SB. i am looking for best bang for buck, and user friendly. Also, after i do level it what size tire should i be able to go to, right now i am stock.
thanks for your help.
i say they should not be in front of me and if they are they deserve it :thatfunny :thatfunny :thatfunny :thatfunny :thatfunny

i agree....they will either speed up to get away or move the hell over so i can pass :rck:
i dont have a new truck but after i put the six inch lift on it was head/rearveiw mirror level and i left it people are always flashing there lights but im to high up to see it so oh well i say just leave it the way it is . just my $0.02
only problem with that philosophy

if they get in a wreck, all they gotta do is mention "headlights blinding me" and if the cop decides to check your headlights, you = cause of accident

well i say after you do a big lift no matter how you adjust the lights they are still going to be in the mirror of the car in front of you
actually, I got around it

my headlights are kinda low, but I left my fogs in the stock position

it actually lights up pretty damned good, cept no high beams
i think my foglights make up about 80% of my low beam intensity. when i drive with just my low beams and no fogs, nobody flashes me. when i use both is when people start getting pissed off.
I agree with 03RAM59L. I get flashed all the time when my lows and fog lights are on. I don't even turn them on most of the time because of it.
I've noticed that when I drive with my fourwheeler in the bed, I get flashed by nearly every car that passes me (like almost every one, it must be bad). Obviously it's because of the rear sitting lower.

It's annoying because I know if I lower my lights, they will be too low to drive normally. But I haul the wheeler a few times a week, so it's frustrating.
