I have a 99 Durango, 2wd, rear anti-lock brakes. I've been getting a grinding noise from the front left that sounds like brake drag. The noise goes away when the brake is applied. It gets worse when turning and seems to worsen when the car has been driven a while. I have replaced the brake line, the caliper twice, rotor, hub assembly, and shock. I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

This might sound dumb but have you looked at the brake dust shield to see if it is bent or warped. I know those have a tendency for making the same noise you are talking about. What about your lower and upper bj's and your outer tie rod?

I'm almost positive it is a brake issue because the noise stops immmediately when the brake is pushed and comes back when it is let off.

i've had the same problem on my 99 D, its a sticking caliper....
