I have a question regarding programming keyless entry remotes for 04 Ram. I've bought a new, matching fob and when I went to program it, I stopped when I read this note in the user manual:
"A new fob can be programmed using a currently programmed (functional) fob.
NOTE: When entering program mode with that fob, ALL currently programmed fobs will be erased and you will have to reprogram them for your vehicle..."
Now I can read that two ways:
1) "That fob" refers to the currently programmed fob and when I go to program my new fob, all fobs will be erased. I better have all three fobs on hand when I try the procedure.
2) "That fob" refers to the new fob if I later try to use it to enter program mode.
Anyone out there already program a new fob? (I'm sure there is!)
