I have Kelly Chargers on my 85 mustang gt. They are 255/40/17s. One 17x9F and 17x10R. They have been on the car for 2 years and have been through many many burnouts and hard spinning launches. Still running strong. I personally have had great luck with em.
I also use to drive it to work (housing const. sites) and got many nails in the tread. Most of the time they didnt puncture in long enough to cause any air loss. A couple were patched and I still have no issues.
