Agreed awesome TQ #'s!! Seems to be rich at WOT, I wonder what #'s you would get leaning it out a bit....

no tuning. Thats why it is so rich. I was told I would gain nother 20-25hp by leaning out to 13.0 at WOT. I am not sure how it would affect torque numbers. I was also told that 4.56 gears show lower numbers than 3.92 gears.
With the cam, gears, longtube headers, and no cat, I ran [email protected] in a quad cab. Going by that, I should have more like 345 real wheel hp. I am fine with 318 though. At least I now have a baseline to compare to when I get my heads and intake installed.

Not really, that reading is perfect if you want to be safe and not hurt anything. 11-12 is ideal for safe tuning.

Are you running Superchips?? Give them a call, they have a flash for that cam. I'm not sure if they will release it to you though but I would call anyway.

the guys operating the dyno said that 13.0 was ideal for wot. I do not have superchips. There is no tune available for 03 rams, no flashpaq. Im getting the smt-6 for tuning. Heat heads with the 6.1 window for my 6.1 intake and an electric fan. Im hoping that tuning will give me 15hp, the efan 8 hp, the heads and intake combo 35 hp. That will put me at 375 hp.

is their a reason you went with thte comp springs over the manley, and what does upgrading the pushrods and retainers do for performance?? i noticed you didnt do the retainers any reason y?

the pushrods were replaced due to the weak factory pushrods. They were only $100 and free to install while changing the cam so it was a no brainer. I changed the springs due to the very weak factory ones. They were expensive to have installed, but they are cheaper than a new motor. The retainers just lighten up the valvetrain. They help the motor rev quicker. Its not something you can feel, but every little bit helps.

Again do you think the lifter issue has anything to do with your upper RPM range power level? I'm just curious if it's causing a problem, or when you said it maxed out at 5400 did it still make good numbers higher in the RPM range?
