2005 Ram 1500 5.7 4x4

Well long story short I was rushing and being careless while I was changing the front p/s tire in the yard, the jack slipped from the frame and down went the front. Half a second later the p/s rear bed dropped/shifted. I thought maybe the strut blew. Anyway, I used another jack to raise it from the control arm, put on the tire, and called it a day. I took it for a test drive after changing the rest of the tires and I noticed the rear wheels start skipping/ locking up whenever the steering wheel is turned. When it's driving straight it's fine, but as soon as I start turning the steering wheel to make a turn the rear wheels start skipping/locking up. It happens going forward and in reverse when the steering wheel is turned to the right or left. Anyone have any ideas of where I should start looking to see what I messed up? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.Idk if it's related but also saw the bed isn't sitting right on the p/s.

Also noticed the rear p/s bed is floating

Update: After doing some research I'm thinking the 4x4 is engaged and the light isn't illuminated on the dash b/c the sensor is bad. I ordered a new switch and a new transfer case lever to replace whatever jerry-rigged bent sheet metal lever it currently has.

hopefully that should solve the problem and allow me to move onto the next issue - extra low bed height.....

Check emergency brake cables and see if they got bent or are in a bind.

I normally don't like to guess but it sounds like you may have damaged a wheel speed sensor, probably when it fell off the jack. It sounds like the ABS may be pulsing the rear brakes. You could disable the ABS by pulling fuse 35 and test driving it. Be sure to reinstall the fuse.
Being in 4WD should not cause the skipping unless at low speeds with the wheels turned quite a bit, then it will hop and load up as the drive train winds up and then skips.

Problem solved. It was in 4wd. I replaced the 4wd indicator switch and transfer case lever now it's good to go.

Onto the next issue, suspension.. Quick question, I looked at a repair manual and it didn't address it.....Do the shocks need to be disconnected from the axle/frame when replacing the leaf springs or can they stay connected?
