is it better to get a cai that is 4 inch pipe over on that has 3 inch pipe

YES ... the 4" adds MUCH more performance than the 3"... Its a wash hands down. Some will say that your throttle body is only so big and the tube only needs to be the size as the opening.... LOL... What they fail to realize is your stock induction system has a RESERVE of air in the resonator... this air is used for the imediate demand ... when you mash the gas your engine needs air NOW.... if your useing a SMALL 3"ID tube... this demand is not met untill the air speed increases... so the 4"ID has a MUCH better throttel responce than the 3" because it has this reserve air throughout the tube...and you have much better breathing at the UPPER RPM range....

We have tested both 3" and 4" and if the 3" was better we would be useing it... it would be cheaper for us in meterials.... but if we went to the 3" we would not be better than all the others. Leave no room for improvment... thats how I feel... go 4" and you will NEVER regret it.
