I’m pretty sure my steering shaft is starting to bind or seize. Seems a common issue per the local Dodge parts guy. He has sold 10 shafts in the last 2 months.
I can’t seem to find an aftermarket option, only Mopar OEM part for $500.
I have found some online for $300 CDN ish with $50 shipping.
Is no aftermarket companies making this part?
I’m assuming it’s the bearing that goes.

Just took truck out, drive to walk dogs. Steering was heavy and binding. Orders shaft for $370 CDN on walk, drove home and no binding now.

Try soaking it with penetrating oil.

I sprayed it down pretty good. Wondering if I should cancel the part and just re order if it’s acting up again. If I have the part delivered it’s a 20% restock fee.
