I'd like to join the big boy club but I'm going to need a lot of help. In about a week I'll be tearing the truck apart and starting in. I have no idea what I'm doing but that's never stopped me before. Anyone want to offer their wisdom when I get stuck? Phone numbers and email addresses might be helpful. Many have said the DT community has been going down hill but I still have faith in DT.

Just got these today! Sharadon 5.7L heads, CNC ported, decked 0.020", 2.05 intake, 1.60 exhaust, Manley springs and titanium retainers, D-shaped exhaust ports, did I miss anything?

Oh, that little bumpstick is a 210x. Thanks to all that have anwsered my many questions to get me this far.

i have a suggestion, package them back up and send them my way, i will install them and tell you how they perform.

or you can have all the fun and install them on your truck,

I like the first option better. lol

Good luck with the install

Thats a nice looking graph! Hands down you have the best CNC'ed heads your money can buy. Great low end lift numbers with a steady increase all the way to 500. The picture is a little blurry... is that [email protected]? Real nice!

Kevin, In case Denny didn't include your flow sheet with your heads, here it is. It's a bit fuzzy and if you didn't get it, have Denny mail it to you.
Jerry,
Denny will be mailing me another package next week. If you see him, tell him to throw that in there please. I'd really like that.
Kevin

I'll still try to contact him if I get a chance.

So are those 6.1 heads? If not why the D ports?
Matt explained it already in the simple version. I.E. They flow better then the square port.

The other side of it is a long story. I'll touch on it.

Since the Hemi heads design was introduced (many, many yrs ago)it's been great on the intake and not so great on the exhaust. When you look at Intake to Exhaust CFM ratio. 70% or better exhaust to intake ratio has been a rule of thumb for as long as I can rememmber. The last place you want to remove material is on the short side. That just makes the port turbulant and flow less. So,,,you have to remove it else were. The D shape is proven and fit's nicely to the round header flange.(we first did it 3 yrs ago) Plus the fast moving air helps pull the intake charge in during valve overlap.

So for those that have round tube headers with the round flange. It's an option that doesn't cost anymore then the square port opening.
