Looking to upgrade my alternator to 160+ amp. Was told having an HD that a diesel alternator may fit my truck. Any input on this? Thanks.

weed had a link somewhere for a 160 or larger. I guess you can put a 2nd unit in there but i have no idea do go about that.

i would think a diesel one would bolt up pretty easy might need to make a new bracket but yeah shouldnt have much problems

PWs are 160 amps. The biggest issue with a high output alternator is that it doesn't make any more power at an idle. You need RPMs to get to the higher output, unless you do something with pulley sizes.
