Hello Dodge Dakota owners well I have a 1994 Dodge Dakota Sport and I have a short inside my wiring harness somewhere. The reason I say this is, my blower on my AC unit stopped working I disconnected the blower to test it, and it works great.I did put a test light on the connector of the wire harness coming from the truck, the positive lit up and the ground stayed off ground. Now when I hooked it back up to the blower motor both hot and ground we're both hot and my blower is still not working..please help me find my short or tell me how to find myself please..

It's not a short.

The switch GROUNDS the fan; it's HOT all the time the power is on. And if the ground lifts, you'll measure 12V on both sides because the FAN will conduct the power through to the meter.

Try reading the wiring diagrams in the factory service manual sometimes.

You have a failed blower resistor most likely. If you had a short you would blow fuses. I'll refrain from saying anything about how I'm continually amazed at how poorly people understand how electricity works.
