You don't like neons, AND you're going to sell it in a year. Sounds like a no brainer to me, keep the money in your wallet.

But if you must do a mod, I would buy a manual transmission and go from there.

If you're going to drop your car with coilovers, be prepared to spend some cash! The one's you see on ebay are junk.

I don't know about 2nd gen neons, but the cheapest "reasonable" coilover for a 1st gen goes for about $1100.

That was me. Where did you get a name brand fully functional and performing set of coil overs for $200? I've never seen an inexpensive coilover out perform a set of Konis. At the same time I've never seen a true coil over setup under perform a Koni setup.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to know.

You're not talking about the skunks are you?

no im not talking about the skunk coil-overs, i have a set of gp sports coil-overs
Which are similar to bomz, skunk, or any other ebay coil over.

Just remember, you get what you pay for.

Try looking at a K-Sport or Ground Control for a neon. They are a night and day difference compared to any of those listed above.

I can't find K-sport or Ground Control coilover kits for a 2000 non SRT neon. What about Tein coilovers? Some other forums said those are pretty good too and drop it nice.
I can't speak too much for 2nd gen coilovers, I can only tell you my experiences and friends experiences with 1st gen coilovers, but I would imagine the results are the same. Basically this is one area where you don't want skimp.

Somve of the Ebay coilovers and the similar for a 1st gen neon can actually make the car higher than the stock suspension. Some of them require cutting and fabbing the spring perches. Some of them will lower the vehicle and give you the "look" you're going for.

But none of them will produce a good handling car or a good riding car.
