I need to ask everybody how my cylinder compression looks. I have another thread out there with a missfire and wanted to know if my compression looks ok. I have a Plenum leak and the hughes kit on the way and just need to know if my cylinder heads are ok. Its a 1997 dodge ram 5.2l. Thanks Mark

Compression seems great! When they're down to 100psi or lower; that's when I'd start to get concerned.

Yeah they look good in terms of being consistent (all within 15psi of each other in any engine is good). In terms of what the cylinder pressure should be i'm unsure. I would think at least 150's. but im still a noob to these magnums.

According to my Hayne's Manual Specs are min compression of 100psi, with a max variation of 40psi...so I'd say you're looking pretty good

compression isn't everything, if you want and even better idea of the condition of the motor try a leak down test. The testers are very cheap nowadays and gives you a better idea of how things are sealing up, rings, valves etc.
