The horn on my 85 W-150 has started acting up, honking with out pushing the button. The problem is in the steering column, I think, turn the wheel causes the honking. Has any one else had this problem? Where should I start to figure out what is wrong?

my trouble was different a 84 ply gran fury would NOT honk. serv manual horn sec FIRST par said to put a ground strap on the steering col.
to me that doesnt sound like it would help you. do check for a shorted wire, or a bad realy. if you do work on the steering col DONT beet on the col, there is a collapseable section if you hit hard will collapse on you. history point: the first year for this in cars was 1967 same as duel master brake cyl
