Just got done driving my first road trip with my brand new H/O heads and cams.
My face is still like this: :D

Revs much faster than the old ones, which I had replaced because they were turds. Warped ones at that. While they are at the bottom of the pile of performance options, they gave the truck a significant boost :WHT::):SPIN::D:rck:

Oh,and the whole repair was covered under service contract. $109.25

Now I just need a LSD.

how big of those 4.7 cams can you go before you need custom tuning?

H/O cams work great with factory tune and even better with Superchips. Of course SCT could squeeze a bit more from them as well.

You really dont need to start getting into custom tuning untill you move up to a regrind like the "H/O cam based" 206's & up.

Other things that would cause you the need for a custom tune would be large air flow mods like the 2008 intake manifold, ported heads, 72MM throttle body... other wise if one where to stick with the basic bolt ons they should be good with Superchips.

SPEED SAFE, NICK
