Does anyone have any information about the K & N filters? I was told they don't work too well at high altitudes. I live in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and we are at an altitude of a little over 6,000 feet. I've been thinkin about gettin a K & N filter for my truck. But, if it wont work because of the altitude I'll put the money somewhere else. Thanks for any information.

If dust is a problem find a new filter.

No dust isn't the problem. Like I said, I was questioning the "altitude". But, thanks anyway.....

Altitude has nothing to do with filtration. Either the air is clean or not so clean-the filter still functions the same. Why would one filter function differently than another at equal altitudes?

I don't know. I guess it might have something to do with the air being thiner. Not as much oxygen at higher elevations. Thus the engine not perform as well due to the lack of air.

Thanks for the info...
