Well here are some suggestions and personal opinions, for what they’re worth.
A quick search for the Autotronic Controls Corp reveals that the company is the one that makes MSD ignitions and related parts, owned by Holley. I didn’t see anywhere on their website that you could find info on your propane controllers, but an email to customer service might produce a manual that would help you diagnose some problems.
Next, do you really want or need the propane system? If not, for the sake of removing variables, why not remove it and just use gas? In my opinion Dodge’s throttle body injection works quite well, it’s easily cleaned and repaired, and with a proper tune-up (plugs, wires, timing) the system gives decent gas mileage and adequate power in my heavy camper conversion.
As for vacuum leaks, I would check the hoses first, and there are many of them. Do a search of this forum for wisdom from others who have done it. Good luck, and let us know how you make out.
