They both have a couple ups and down for doing the swap, but I would most definitely put it in the Dakota for the fun factor. Besides the engine, I would give yourself about $1000 for misc. things you'll need, assuming you do the swap yourself.

 

Thanks. Is there alist of parts or a kit available for this? Also, will my five speed work with it? The Hemi has an auto attached to it.

 

There is no parts list for this swap. You will need a NV3500 or a NV4500 to keep a manual transmission.

does anybody have a gear ratio comparison for the nv3500 and nv4500 . what trans is better and has longer gears? can the viper t56 bolt up to the hemi?
