you are installing this on an 06?
and what unit are you using to conver the wires to RCA? or you just splicing the RCA jacks directly to the wires?
no i bought an adapter that splices into the factory cables, the rca wires just plug right into the adapter...
what?? I have never heard of this before. Unless you already tapped the battery for power and you didn't connect the terminals tight to the battery. Are you just guessing as to what the wires are out of the back of the radio?

there should have been a diagram with the adapter then .. if not I agree with that what 04_on_22s said .. Are you just guessing as to what the wires are out of the back of the radio?

The other thing is give us the manufacture and model number of the harness you bought and let me see if I can find the wiring diagram for your year (06) truck online because they usually have a PDF of the diagram on there website or the other thing is give the manufacture of the harness a call to see if they can give you some support if all else fails.
it didnt come with much of a diagram, we looked at the colors of the wires that go to each speaker. you have to connect it to a left and to a right speaker....but it didnt work. as u can tell i dont know much about installing systems. my buddy does but it stumped him
Do you have a factory amp in the truck. You might have to tap into the signal after it goes through the amp.

thats not gonna help us help you ... we need to know the manufacture of the harness so we can look at the diagram they supply and then we can tell you what color to color to hook up
http://www.installedge.com/home/ ..........that is the website of the product. its under interfaces, the id#55412. i hope that helps, but i cant find a diagram.
if all else fails do yourself a favor and call these guys and ask them if they have a wiring diagram for your year truck and if they can email it to you in PDF .. here is there contact info:

the other thing is you are using this device to give you RCA outputs to run an AMP correct? ... I would contact the manufacture to make sure it is compatible with your truck cause no where does it say what it is compatible with so you may not be able to use this device not sure if our trucks run alot of stuff thru the radio but I do know my buddy had some issues with his magnum when he put an aftermarket Deck in his car.
if I am not mistaken alls you need to do is tap this device into your rear speaker + & - to give you the signal you are looking for.
Also founf out your device is made by Rockford Fosgate and they dont have any diagrams on there website either so both sites really suck for customer support ... hopefully calling them will get you waht you need if not then maybe take a close up picture of the front and back of the box with wires seperated so we can see the colors of the wire .. I would think they would have some sort of markings on the box to tell you what color wire goes to where and then we can look in the Factory Service Manual to get you the correct color to wire match

its a universal one i bought at best buy, and ya it gives the amp the signals from the speakers....well thanx for all yalls help, i appreciate it! i may just end up taking it in to an audio place and pay them to hook it up, it mite be easier!
LUKE the front doors are our power speakers. To hook up the line converter tap the front door speaker wires not the rear. Believe it or not the factory radio sends most of the power up front.

I thought it was the back speakers .... good to know
the other thing is if he doesnt have a wiring diagram then he will have to take it somewhere .. I know we can help him find the door speakers + & - out of the service manual but the wires on the unit he will have to figure out unless the unit tells you what color wire is for Left + , Left -, Right + and Right -
