Just an FYI... Don't let your auto insurance company know that you took out the factory wheel with the air bag. They will raise your insurance.

disconnect the battery and wait about 5 min
then take off kick panel and disconnect the air bag clip
Take out the 3 screws on the bottom of the plastic cover and take it off ( if u have tilt u have to unscrew the tilt lever before the top cover piece will come off)
then there are 4 10mm nuts on the back of the wheel take those out..then the air bag will just fall out in ur lap, take the wiring clip off the air bag
take off the 21mm nut and use a wheel puller 14 bux at auto parts or rent it

Does it take some type of an adapter kit for the new wheel? Grant told me that there is no way to do this for a Dodge. What do I use if I want to install a custom wheel? y Ram is a 2001 model.

yes a 96-97 chevy adaptor i didnt have to modify it at all
