Hi guys,

I am currently trying to help my girlfriend get a new car. She was trying to decide between a Mazda6 and a Sebring, but decided on the Sebring. I have never bought a new car before and have not had to deal with a Dealership before.

My question is this..if she is getting a car with a sticker price of 21,000 and gets the employee discount which brings it to 19,000, how does the "out the door price get back up to and above the original sticker price?!?

Is this normal or am I missing something? If anyone has a tip on getting a better deal please let me know!

Thank you!!

Its Crazy i know but its all tax and licensing fees if you buy a car thats 19000 dollars you still have to pay state sales tax on that and if its say 8% thats already 1500 dollars and most states are a little above 8% and then you have to get the tabs and license plate for it so unfortunatly thats about as good as you can do. Sorry Bro. Good Luck Though!
